Gosh, things keep happening at lightning pace for me…has to stop soon. First off my car in Tassie sold last Thursday…and at a good price too. Special thanks to Phil for selling it for me. So that is one more possession gone.
Remember last blog entry I was wondering about living in Narrogin. Well Mel mentioned to a friend I also know from the naturalist Club down there, that I was looking for a place to live. She then said she had a friend who was looking at travelling for 12 months and possibly wanted someone to live in her house. I went and saw the lady yesterday and guess what….we hit it off so well and it immediately felt to be the right thing to do…so I have committed to renting/housesitting her house for 12 months from August 1st. Wow….so unbelievable how easy it all was. It is a little one bedroom house beautifully done up inside and so very cosy. It is on a big block where I can put the motorhome if it has not sold. Also have 4 chooks I will have to look after, so back to my farming roots.
Spent 5 days down at the farm last week …2 looking after Jett and Mateya while Mel worked and went to Perth to play hockey…and Mark was busy seeding after the opening rains. Tomorrow I head up north to visit some friends at Badgingarra where I hope to see the Cleopatra’s Needles orchids at long last. Fingers crossed for sunshine as they only open in the sun.
Also caught up with my friend Lyn today from Mt Barker …am going to China with her in October. She is even interested in coming to The Philippines with me early next year if I decide to go visit my brother there.
So life is busy and sure keeping me occupied at present. Biggest concern will be how to get the motorhome and the car down to Narrogin….oh well, it will work out. Have had some rain lately…good for the countryside, but not good for the motorhome…it has a leak up near the top of the bed, think it is just cracked paint at the join…..will have to get Bronte to look at that this weekend.
