A grey nomad’s adventure around Oz

China photos…Ming Tomb Museum and Sacred Road

An Emperor's helmet made from leather

An Emperor's helmet made from hair-thin filaments of gold.

The huge turtle guarding the entrance

Beautifully groomed grounds....not one piece of rubbish

Roof needs a little attention...note the tree growing out of it.

What history took place in this area!

The Ming Tomb Museum. How many feet have trodden this path?

Start to The Sacred Road...huge sculpted animals and Emperors lined the sides as it led to a Ming Tomb.

Cloisonne..unbreakable pottery. We saw them creating this beautiful 'pottery' on a copper base.

OK…trying a new background to see if I can get these photos to to what they are supposed to.

At last….think I have it figured out.

The Cloisonne was amazing…saw the girls working at making this….suspect they suffer from lung problems from inhaling the copper etc fumes over many years. And their eyesight must also suffer as they undertake long hours of intricate copper work.
